Panhead Custom Ales is bringing that authentic Southern hospitality to Upper Hutt, as Blue Smoke returns to the Panhead Brewery for their biggest event to date.
Join Panhead under the big tent at Brewtown for an immersive Americana celebration of beer, whisky, BBQ and incredible live music featuring Tami Neilson, Delaney Davidson, Finn Andrews, Miles Calder, Kita and Wayne Mason.
Panhead’s Custom Ales kitchen crew will be alongside mates from Black Dog BBQ, plus some legends from three of the country's finest BBQ teams, to put in the hard yards to deliver a low n’ slow feast. Whole hogs will spend the night over smouldering woods in the house-built pit BBQ, the smokers will be cranking out the finest ribs n’ rubs you can find this side of Texas, and of course, Panhead’s famous 12-hour smoked brisket, along with all the fixin’s and trimmin’s a feast like this deserves!
Cameron Harrison butchers and Weber BBQ NZ will spend the day going through all the meats and techniques in our BBQ and Butchery display tent.
The brew team have been working away on some fine libations exclusively for Blue Smoke, including old favourite – the Peach Iced Tea sour. At the distiller’s tent malt, bourbon and rye experts from Wellington’s famed Crumpet Bar are teaming up with Cardrona to chat about distilling, spirits and more.
Oh, and here’s something truly special, Stackhouse Knives have saddled up and headed over the hills to demonstrate live blacksmithing and knife forging – a truly amazing opportunity to witness some incredible craft skills, and if you fancy giving it a shot, there will be limited spots available where you’ll get to forge your own bottle opener at the start of the day (not included in ticket price).
Tickets include return coach travel from Wellington and Petone, BBQ lunch, three Panhead beers and a whisky cocktail, with bars open throughout the event for additional purchases.
