Surrealist Supper

Join Te Papa for an evening immersed in the world of Surrealist art, with a dinner that opens the door to an alternate reality. A stunning three-course meal and drink pairing compliments exclusive after-hours access to Te Papa’s latest exhibition, Surrealist Art: Masterpieces from museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. A tour by lead curator, Lizzie Bisley, will guide you through Europe’s Surrealist masterpieces.
Surrealist artists sought to shock, provoke, and delight.
From the dream-like to the uncanny, visitors are invited to delve into a fantastical world and enter a new kind of reality. This will be a night to remember.

Tue 10 Aug - Esther Fung from the Wellington Chinese Association on the cookhouses providing the comfort of home cooking to a mainly bachelor community in Haining Street at the turn of the 20th century, and the influences on our dining scene from the diversity of more recent Chinese immigrants.
