1. The Promoter
1. Visa Wellington On a Plate and/or Wellington Culinary Events Trust will be known as ‘The Promoter’ within these terms and conditions.
2. Promotion Period
1. This competition commences at 9.00am Monday, 3 August 2026 and closes 11.59pm Sunday, 23 August 2026.
3. How to Enter
1. Log in or create a profile on VisaWOAP.com
2. Locate the listing for the Burger Wellington burger that you wish to rate.
3. Click the “RATE NOW” button under the image of the burger and slide the slider to your corresponding rating.
4. Every burger you rate will act as one entry to the competition. Please note The Promoter retains the right to verify the validity of entries and that the associated burger was consumed.
4. Major Prize
The major prize for this competition is a return trip for two to Fiji, courtesy of Fiji Airways.
This prize includes:
Return Fiji Airways flights for two, from Wellington to Nadi
5 nights’ accommodation at Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa including breakfast
FJD$500 spending money from Prosegur Change
$200 to spend at Duty Free @WLG
Wellington Airport Valet parking for the duration of the trip.
3. Redemption/booking of all aspects of the Major Prize must occur prior to 30 November 2026. Travel to be completed by 31 August 2027.
4. Flights and accommodation are subject to availability, and blackout dates apply. In the event the prize winner’s first choice of dates is not available, they will be required to provide alternative date options.
5. There can be no changes once flights and accommodation are booked. Any changes required to travel bookings, after these have been agreed upon, will be at the expense of the prize winner.
6. The prize includes flight taxes but does not include travel insurance, passports, visas, or any other costs of a personal nature. Any additional expenses incurred will be at the expense of the prize winner.
7. The Promoter strongly recommends the prize winner seek adequate travel insurance cover for their own personal level of risk. Travel insurance will be at the expense of the prize winner.
8. This prize is not transferable, exchangeable or negotiable and is not redeemable for cash.
9. Additional terms and conditions for flights: To be redeemed on Fiji Airways operated flights only. Valid for two economy class return tickets on the direct Wellington-Nadi service (Value category fares). Additional or connecting flights are not included. The prize must be used in one transaction, and travel must be on the same booking. Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the prize winner. Travel is subject to Fiji Airways General Conditions of Carriage.
10. Additional terms and conditions for accommodation: Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa is located on Denarau Island. The prize winner can choose from a king or twin room configuration. Exact room category is subject to availability and will be allocated at the time of booking. Accommodation will include breakfast. Additional room nights are not included. Transfers/transport are not included. The prize winner will be required to present a credit card on check in, for any incidentals or additional meals during their stay.
5. Eligibility
1. Every rating for a Burger Wellington burger will equate to one entry into the prize draw.
2. To be eligible to enter this competition and win a prize you must:
have made an eligible entry,
be 18 years of age or older.
3. This competition is not open to any individual associated with the Visa Wellington On a Plate festival. This includes any individual in a business that supplies to or participates in Visa Wellington On a Plate Festival Events or restaurants participating in Burger Wellington.
4. Employees and/or Contractors of Visa Wellington On a Plate and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step parent, grandparent, step grand-parent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step sibling or 1st cousin.
5. Employees of Festival Sponsors and Partners and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step parent, grandparent, step grand-parent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step sibling or 1st cousin.
6. The Promoter reserves the right to:
verify the identity of any entrant (including an entrant's identity, age, city/town of residence and place of employment),
verify the validity of entries and that the associated burger was consumed,
disqualify any entry or refuse to award a prize where false or misleading details have been given by an entrant, an entrant has behaved in a fraudulent or dishonest manner, or otherwise than in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
6. Notification of Winners
1. Winners will be notified by The Promoter via the contact details provided when entering the competition. The winner will be notified within 72 hours of the draw being completed.
2. In the event that a winner cannot be contacted within 72 hours of the initial notification occurring or, if The Promoter determines that a winner is not eligible to participate in a draw, the prize will be forfeited, a further draw will be conducted, and the prize allocated to the new winner.
3. The Promoter is not responsible if a winner cannot be contacted following the draw due to incorrect or out of date contact details being provided, and any such winner will forfeit the prize to the next eligible winner.
7. Other Terms and Conditions
1. The winner’s name can be published through any of The Promoter’s channels, including www.VisaWOAP.com, and social media platforms
2. By entering this competition, you are agreeing to be filmed and/or photographed in direct relation to your prize. This content may be published and used for promotional purposes including, but not limited to, Visa Wellington On a Plate website, social media channels, as well as third party promotion. You also agree that copyright ownership of the content and images collected remain with The Promoter in perpetuity, and there is no claim to fees.
3. All data relating to your competition entry will be stored securely on our systems for the purposes of judging and drawing a winner. If your competition entry is unsuccessful, any data or content submitted as part of the application will only be used for reporting purposes and not be published on any external channels.
4. Subject to any applicable law that cannot be excluded, The Promoter is not responsible or liable for any loss suffered by any entrant in the event that a prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond its control. In this event, The Promoter may substitute a prize of its choice.
5. Subject to any applicable laws which cannot be excluded, The Promoter, its employees and agents will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature incurred or suffered by any person (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with this competition or with winning, redeeming or benefiting from the prize.
6. In the event of a dispute concerning any aspect of the competition including eligibility the decision of The Promoter will be final. No correspondence concerning any decision made by The Promoter will be entered into.

8.Disclosure
1. The Promoter does not provide personal information to any other organisations, government agencies, or other third parties except in accordance with the terms of use for the website in the following circumstances:
the individual has consented to their personal information being disclosed,
the individual would reasonably expect, or has been told, that their personal information will be passed to a recipient third party,
the disclosure of an individual’s personal information is otherwise required or authorised by law,
it is legally compelled to do so, under any law or by court order.
