Food in Fiction - Plonk Wine Bar
Every Tuesday to Saturday during the festival.
Food in Fiction is an array of recreated dishes from your favourite books, TV shows and movies. There's a take on the beloved chocolate cake from Matilda, a reimagined prison pasta from Goodfellas and the perfect bite of Turkish Delight from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
And, in true Plonk fashion, the team have also worked hard to take the challenging dishes and turned them in to something delicious and indulgent. Consider tucking into the slightly bleaker sounding options like liver and fava beans from Silence of the Lambs or the gruel from Oliver Twist and no doubt you'll be saying "please sir, I want some more".

Join the team for a fantastical journey in to the World of Welly Wonka – a nostalgic and whimsical nod to the Roald Dahl classic. Indulge in a chocolate river, experience a TEEVEE dinner or taste the Snozzberries, which obviously taste like Snozzberries.
Beach Babylon's bespoke food and drink menu and Bill’s Candy Shop inspired décor will provide an unforgettable dining experience set in a world of creativity and pure imagination. They’ve combined Wonka’s brilliance with exceptional Wellington produce and mixed in a little Babs’ magic.

Adventurers, welcome to The Golden Gnome. For the month of August, Little Beer Quarter will be transformed into a realm of fantasy, where rogues, bards and wizards can gather to feast, drink, and tell tales.
Hearty perpetual stews, epic burgers, good ale and perilous potions will tantalise your senses with a menu inspired by the feasts of kings and mythical creatures. The Golden Gnome will play host to an array of craft ale, food, and fantastical events.
Whether you’re a seasoned dragon-slayer or a curious newcomer, there’s a place for you at their table.
