Lower Hutt

• A pulled pork belly with manuka smoked bacon burger? Sì, sì, Grazie! Meet 'The Porkland'. This glorious concoction is topped off with a green apple compote, and Kāpiti Kikorangi fondue in a housemade pecorino sourdough ciabatta. What more could you ask for? How about double-cooked olive truffle potatoes? Done. ($25)

• 'Baa Baa Black Sheep' is musical genius. Also pretty clever is the 'Baa-rilliant' burger from Brew'd Boulcott. A lamb patty and pulled lamb shoulder with swiss cheese, housemade chilli chickpea dust, coriander lime crema, hot and spicy pickles, red onion, and chimichurri in a Rongotai Bakery potato milk bun. Yes please, we'll take three bags full! ($27)

• If the Hutt Valley is 'Valley A' would that make Stokes Valley 'Valley B'? It does according to the Hardware Bar and Restaurant who are proudly repping the second Valley in the Valley. The 'Valley B' burger is bringing you a beef patty with streaky bacon, steak sauce, lettuce, cheddar, onion jam, and pickles in a Café Lane brioche bun, perfectly paired with potato fries. ($26)

Upper Hutt

• You've made it this far, well Keihei Chicken are the next goal with their charcoal grilled Korean BBQ burger 'Gimme a Coal'. Crispy chicken skin, sweet and sticky sauce, cheddar cheese, noir garlic sauce, and spicy pickles in a Dough Bakery charcoal milk bun - this dark little number will surely lighten your heart. ($23)

• Get 'WILD!!' with The Tote. A party in your mouth, this burg is serving up a beef patty with pulled pork with candied bacon, beer battered onion rings, cos lettuce, beetroot relish and Kāpiti blue vein sauce in a Brezelmania Brioche bun. ($29)

• If you're a fan of talking pigs, it's best not to think too hard about Boneface Brewing Co's 'Babe in a Biscuit'. Experience house smoked whole hog - boned, rolled, crumbed and fried, with spicy togarashi pickled apples, watercress, and celeriac remoulade in a housemade buttermilk biscuit, with southern spiced crinkle cut fries. That'll do pig, that'll do. ($28)

Kaitoke

• End your journey at the Aston Norwood Cafe with a mouthful of their 'Boerie Buns'. A boerewors patty with cheese, tomato, red onions, butter pickles, rocket, chutney and beetroot sauce in a seeded brioche bun, with potato skin wedges. After all that work, stretch your legs and take a tour of the gorgeous gardens - you've earned it. ($26)
