Step out onto the pitch of Sky Stadium, except this time it will be the fire that's roaring...not the crowd. Food by Fire will bring you this unique shared dining experience in the stadium as you’ve never seen it before. You'll make a dramatic entrance through the players’ tunnel and onto the pitch, where you'll be greeted by the chefs working the flames live in front of you. Sample from fire-fuelled asado snack stations, and enjoy a welcome hot cocktail curated by Zac Goy of Christchurch’s renowned cocktail bar The Last Word. After drinks and snacks on the pitch, you'll head into heated marquees for a multi-course shared feast at long communal tables. Each dish is cooked over fire and matched with wines that complement the bold, elemental flavours. The menu is curated by the team at Food by Fire in collaboration with an all-star cast of chefs: Josh Hunter (Food by Fire; formerly of The Grand in Melbourne and Story in Christchurch), Mathew Johns (Food by Fire; previously at New Quarter in Melbourne and Momofuku in Toronto), Craig Martin of Native Kitchen, Scott Lord (Executive Chef of Commune Group in Melbourne and ex-Sunda), and Mike Bones and Max Perry from Christchurch’s cult-favourite Bones Pickles. Together they’ll deliver a rich, flavour-packed experience, served with a side of fire and flair. The evening wraps up back on the pitch with interactive dessert stations and a festive vibe, thanks to a high-energy band and light show that will have you dancing under the stars. A cash bar will remain open for those wanting to keep the good night going.
