Join us for an afternoon away from the rush of the city! Jano Bistro, Conscious Valley Farm and Strait Speared are organising a 3 courses long lunch with drinks in the Ohariu Valley, with beautiful views on the hills around. On Sunday, August 17th, Relax and indulge with a carefully crafted 3 course menu with snacks to start, sourdough bread, macaron and matching wines, showcasing the beautiful lamb raised meters away and spear-caught butterfish from the neighbouring beach. We’ll kick start with a tour of Conscious Valley Barn, where you’ll be introduced to the sheep sheering process, with in-dept explanation from Hamish, the one man army behind Conscious Valley Farm. We’ll then move towards the beautiful Ohariu Farm venue, for some nibbles and a glass of bubbly, to be followed with a 3 course lunch menu with extras and wine or non-alcoholic pairing. The menu will be inspired by the surrounding land, fauna and flora. Cole and Tom, The boys behind Strait Speared will then reveal their secrets on where and how to catch the best butterfish, while you’ll be enjoying your starter.
