Wannabe winemaker? Create your own wine blend at Graze. This is a hands-on experience where you will be given barrel samples and guidance from one of four incredible New Zealand winemakers – Jenny Dobson (5th), Amy Hopkinson-Styles - Halcyon Days (12th), Haidee Johnson - Halite (19th), and Ashleigh Barrowman (26th). The team at Graze will keep you snacking with the ultimate wine-tasting grazing board while you perfect your creation.
Jenny Dobson Jenny's journey in wine began with working at Domaine Dujac in Burgundy. Through the tutelage of legend, Jacques Seyesses, the roots of my wine-making philosophy were seeded, and then developed, working alongside and meeting other formidable wine masters in France. After 40 years of helping others make wine, she was ready to start producing wine under her own label. Authentic wines, nurtured by Jenny, with a sense of place, surprise and adventure.
Amy Hopkinson-Styles Halcyon Days is Amy and Olly Hopkinson-Styles, they use time-honoured methods to create living wines that are a dynamic expression of their place in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Haidee Johnson Haidee’s journey in winemaking has taken her across the globe, allowing her to refine her skills and deepen her appreciation for the craft of winemaking. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, Haidee founded her own wine brand, Halite Wines, whilst simultaneously starting a family. Based out of Martinborough, Halite embodies a dedication to organic and sustainable practices, aiming to produce wines that are both delicious and environmentally responsible. Haidee’s wines are celebrated for their authenticity, depth and unique character and are enjoyed by every kind of wine lover.
Ashleigh Barrowman Ashleigh has learned from some of the best - having cut her teeth working with legends like Patrick Sullivan (Aus), Hans Herzog (NZ), Vino di Anna (Sicily), Domaine Labet (Jura), Jean-Jacques Morel (Burgundy) and Les Bottes Rouges (Jura). After years of being a travelling winemaker, she returned home in 2020 to Marlborough, NZ, and fell in love with the Wrekin Vineyard. Years later, she continues to craft distinct single-vineyard, single-varietal wines that truly represent time and place.
