1. Why is Egmont Street Eatery's Cocktail your Tommy’s Pick this year?
Egmont Street Eatery is just located at such a handy location! Love it that it's down an alleyway – and pro tip. they do mix the best drinks! It’s one of my favourites in Wellington. I would pop down to Egmont on a sunny day for a drink or two usually.
2. How is this cocktail the perfect match?
The cocktail was sweet because of the coconut mousse and balanced well with the bitterness of the coffee. I can’t believe it tasted so smooth.
3. What would the perfect occasion to drink this cocktail be
I’d say a casual afternoon drink. You do not want to knock a whole heap of these back at dinner time – the caffeine will keep you wide awake at night!
4. What did you think of the food pairing with the cocktail?
The food was interesting – the pairing reminds me of an Asian night market you’ll find in Asia. Imagine walking and exploring a night market with a beverage in one hand and a skewer on the other.
