We are hosting some very special guest chefs over a 2 week period, with each chef joining us for a 2 night collaboration. Their identities won't be reveiled until the day before via Instagram. Speculate, believe the rumours, start the rumours for all we care! Three local legends, one from outside Wellington, and a roster that reads like the highlight reel of modern cooking in this country. It will be a small a la carte format during our usual trading hours. Walk ins are encouraged but bookings for groups of 4 or more it is highly recommended. The menus will be small and à la carte throughout. Guest #1 (4-5 Aug) The Taipan Our first guest is a previous collaborator, you know him, you love him, we love him. If you've eaten his food before, you know subtlety isn't on the menu. Expect bold and aggressive flavours, and probably some offal. Guest #2 (7-8 Aug) The Kodiak Bear Lover of restaurants and a wizard with words on paper. We are very excited to introduce this guy and give him a creative platform to show Wellington something special from a unique perspective. Guest #3 (12-13) The Suzumebachi Joining us from the Hawkes Bay, This man brings a tempered approach to cooking from his time cooking in Japan. Now an established award winning chef in New Zealand, and someone we consider at the pinnacle of modern cookery in this country. Expect Japanese flavours and techniques utilizing the some of the best produce NZ has to offer. Guest #4 (14-15) The Bighorn Ram With many curls in his horns, this guy has been pivotal and arguably one of the most important chefs Wellington has ever known, setting the stage for many of us who followed. An award winning chef who pioneered modern cuisine in this City, you wont want to miss this. Expect a measured and wise approach to fun flavour combinations with precision.
