The Boss Level burger is inspired by gaming nostalgia and word of mouth in gaming lore; easter eggs and secret cheat codes. The classic is that one glitch in Pokémon Red where you can get a Mew, but there are many, and people go a long way and burn many hours of time getting an edge to go up against the final boss. With this burger, the edge comes from the addition of a flavour cheat code: MSG. There’s a little bit of shame here (when there shouldn’t be), which creates some secrecy around the use of this particular ingredient. If you’re not already in the know, you really have to hit the forums to figure out what brings that umami edge. A little bonus skill, an upgrade - it really does level it up. Call it raising the steaks or something.
