Wellington Producer Marketplace

A key objective of the Festival is to raise the profile of food & beverage producers, manufacturers and suppliers from the Wellington region.

Our food and beverage sector consistently punches above its weight with businesses winning national awards year after year for innovation and quality.

The greater Wellington region has approximately 230 companies in the business of manufacturing food and beverage products. There's a wide range of products, from staple New Zealand exports such as meat through to further processed, high-end products like fine wines, craft beers, chocolate, confectionery, olive oil, honey, and coffee to name a few.

Wellington Producer Marketplace

What is it?
Originally created as a kick-off industry event for Visa Wellington On a Plate, the Wellington Producer Marketplace has grown into a trade show style event where Wellington regional producers and suppliers have the chance to network and show their product to the industry professionals who would use or sell them all year round.

Why should I attend?
Whether you’re making just a few bottles of kombucha a week or growing hectares of organic artichokes, this is your opportunity to chat with chefs about how your products can work in their establishments or dishes.

Who will be there?
We’ve invited buyers from large and boutique grocery outlets from around the Wellington region and some from across New Zealand, so if your product has shelf potential, it will be in front of the right people.

Furthermore, it's your chance to catch up with the Visa Wellington On a Plate team. The Festival is not just about the restaurants. It’s just as much about celebrating the incredible products we have in the wider region. Have an idea for a killer Visa WOAP event? Want to collaborate with a restaurant and want an introduction? Chat to us!

What kind of products are you after?
Anything food-related goes! Olive oil, microgreens, ice cream, beer, wine, soda, kombucha, fresh produce, meat products, bread, cooking equipment, aprons. It’s also a great place to launch new and not-your-usual products and catch the eye of chefs and buyers after something diffrerent. If you’re not sure if your product is the right fit, get in touch.

Sounds great! What do I need to do?
