On opening night of Visa Wellington On a Plate, two powerhouses will come together for a one-night-only international bar takeover. 28 HongKong Street isn’t just a bar – it’s a legend. Widely credited with sparking Singapore’s modern cocktail revolution, this hidden gem behind a modest 1960s shophouse façade has become one of Asia’s most awarded and celebrated cocktail institutions. With a sharp focus on artisanal spirits and American-style craft cocktails, 28 HongKong Street helped put Singapore on the global cocktail map. For one extraordinary night, they will bring their signature style, swagger and world-renowned service to Dee’s Place in Wellington. Since opening in late 2023, Dee’s Place has helped redefine the city’s bar scene. Specialising in American whiskies and beers, this tucked-away basement bar is already making serious waves, having taken home Outstanding Bar, Outstanding Cocktail Menu and Outstanding Bartender at the inaugural Welly Hospo Awards last year. Guests can expect bold flavours, delicious cocktails and hospitality on another level, with drinks from 28’s current menu as well as bespoke creations designed just for the night.
