Awards We Have Won

Metro Mag 2022 Best Of Wellington - Best Event

"Visa Wellington On a Plate is all about eating, something the city prides itself on. Beware the lure of its ridiculously popular offshoot Burger Wellington: if one tries to eat all the burgers oneshall fail."

Felix Awards 2020 - Outstanding Innovation of the Year for At Yours by Visa Wellington On a Plate

For the Felix Wellington Hospitality Awards, we were proud and honoured to receive the Outstanding Innovation of the Year Award by the Restaurant Association of New Zealand, for our initiative, At Yours by Visa Wellington On a Plate.

At Yours was a comprehensive one-stop directory of food and beverage services operating across the Greater Wellington Region offering contactless click and collect, home delivery and takeaway during Level 3 and Level 2 lockdown.

With over 420 services listed on the site, and bespoke mapping functionality that allowed users to quickly and easily see who was operating close to their location, At Yours was a simple but practical solution that connected businesses directly to the hungry dining public during a time of great uncertainty (no matter their size or marketing budget).

Our thanks goes out to our partners, Wellington NZ, for backing this initiative, as well as our talented web agency, Click Suite, for helping make it happen in record time.

The team at Wellington Culinary Events Trust wishes all Felix Awards nominees and winners a huge congratulations! In this challenging year we are so pleased to be part of this resilient and vibrant hospitality community that makes Wellington, New Zealand's culinary capital.

LGNZ EXCELLENCE Awards 2019 - Creative New Zealand EXCELLENCE Award for Cultural Well-being (with Wellington City Council)

The EXCELLENCE Awards are open to all of New Zealand's 78 local authorities each year. The Awards, now in their sixth year, recognise and celebrate excellent performance by councils in promoting and growing the well-being of their communities.

"Visa Wellington on a Plate is New Zealand’s largest culinary festival celebrating food, community and culture while supporting Wellington’s restaurants and using local Wellington produce. Judges praised the leadership shown by this council to continue to evolve and grow the multi-day food festival that is popular with its community and visitors from outside the region. Now in its 11th year the project has turned a traditionally slow time of year for hospitality into one of the busiest and the project’s success is well-recognised."
